Erin is part of our drafting team and joins us part-time while currently completing her studies in engineering at the University of Queensland. Initially waffling between Electrical and Civil Engineering, Erin sought work experience with HR Design late 2020 and quickly discovered an interest in structural engineering and design. Erin hopes to expand her knowledge of residential structural design and grow her experience in AutoCAD with her drafting role.  When Erin is not studying or in the office, you’ll find her catching up on sleep, coaching martial arts or reading.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Writing a checklist and setting a time limit to check everything off. And coffee.

What do you like most about your job?
That it complements and expands upon what I’m currently studying; letting me see how the theory is applied beyond the page.

If I were a superhero, my superpower would be… to never get lost.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is… ‘hold on tight, let go light’.
