What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join the engineering industry?

Make sure you love problem solving and asking ‘why’. Engineering is all about curiosity and critical thinking—digging into how things work and how they can work better. If you’re someone who enjoys turning challenges into opportunities and thrives on precision, creativity, and collaboration, you’ll feel right at home. Learn to embrace failure as part of the process—it’s often where the best lessons hide. And never underestimate the value of communication; being able to explain complex ideas clearly is just as important as understanding them. Stay humble, stay hungry, and always keep learning—the industry evolves, and so should you.

What’s the most exciting part of your job?

I love fiddling around with tricky connection issues – taking the time to work towards an effective and aesthetically pleasing solution is very satisfying to me.
